The Dark Knight has made his presence known throughout Gotham City as it's protector. Bruce Wayne shed his mortality to become a true legend. The Batman has been born. But even coming off of his recent victory against Ra's Al Ghul, Jonathon Crane, and Carmine Falcone, Batman must now move forward to meeting the man who will become his ultimate enemy. While Lieutenant Gordon is creating a new task force in an attempt to retake the lost Narrows Island of the city, Batman, along with new District Attorney Harvey Dent, is hot on the trail of a villain committing robberies, murder, and other indispiciable acts. The only piece of evidence at each crime scene is a single Joker Card. Tracking down two-bit hoods, drug dealers, and small-time crime bosses that have seen this man or even worked with him, Batman interrogates these people and learns more disturbing details of this crazed lunatic. Learning more and more about the man known only as "Joker", the Caped Crusader starts to dread the oncoming showdown that he knows he must endure. Batman Interlude attempts to illustrate what it might be like inbetween Batman Begins and it's inevitable sequel.
